The Israeli Army is the most moral army in the world.

The army that claims to be "the most moral army in the world" faces International Criminal Court arrest warrants and investigations for war crimes and crimes against humanity, genocide proceedings before the International Court of Justice, more than 1,000 UN resolutions documenting systemic violations of international law, and condemnation by its own human rights organizations for apartheid, genocide, and other crimes. If this is the world's most moral army, what would an immoral one look like?

The Israeli army evolved from Zionist militias, including the Irgun and Haganah, responsible for the ethnic cleansing of 800,000 Palestinians, destruction of 530 villages, and over 70 massacres in which more than 15,000 Palestinians were killed during the Nakba of 1948. These militias were institutionalized into the army that continues the Nakba through occupation, siege, apartheid, and now genocide.

That this claim is still debated while Palestinians have endured a live-streamed genocide is extraordinary. The world watched six-year-old Hind Rajab trapped in a car surrounded by her murdered relatives as she pleaded for rescue before being shot over 300 times. It watched displaced families burned alive in tents, patients and medical workers buried in mass graves at hospitals, starving Palestinians shot while seeking food, entire families erased from the civil registry, and prisoners tortured and raped. To still debate "morality" reveals the extent to which Palestinian lives have been dehumanized.

In just two years of the genocide in Gaza, Israel has killed or injured more than 50,000 Palestinian children. Doctors coined a new acronym, WCNSF (Wounded Child, No Surviving Family), to describe children who arrived at hospitals wounded after their entire families had been killed. Israel is the only country in the world that systematically prosecutes children in military courts. Every year, around 500-700 Palestinian children are arrested and subjected to physical violence. What kind of morality is this?

Israeli soldiers repeatedly film themselves humiliating Palestinians. During the ongoing genocide, they posted videos laughing as they reduced entire neighborhoods to rubble, looted homes, wore Palestinian women's lingerie, and stripped, blindfolded, and humiliated detainees. This self-documented sadism reveals a military culture in which Palestinian suffering is treated as entertainment.

Israel has the fifteenth most powerful military in the world, equipped with precision-guided weapons, sophisticated surveillance systems, and extensive intelligence capabilities. Yet, it repeatedly employs unguided bombs, AI-assisted targeting systems, disproportionate force, and widespread destruction, including in one of the most densely populated places on earth. It then markets its weapons and technology as "battle-tested" on Palestinians. This is not morality but deliberate colonial violence turned into profit and exported repression.

Since its establishment in 1948, Israel has attacked or occupied at least 12 countries across the region. In 2025 alone, it was simultaneously attacking Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Syria, and Qatar. This is the conduct of a colonial expansionist military, not a moral army.

Israel's own military doctrines expose the myth. During the First Intifada, "Defense" Minister Yitzhak Rabin ordered soldiers to "break the bones" of Palestinian protesters to suppress resistance. Decades later, the Dahiya Doctrine, applied in Lebanon and repeatedly in Gaza, openly advocated disproportionate force and the destruction of civilian infrastructure. A military that institutionalizes brutality cannot credibly claim to be "the world's most moral army."
